Section 529
A party to the contract

(1) Apart from the fact that the performance of the contract must be done by the person making the contract, his representative, any person appointed by him, or anyone else on his behalf can perform the performance of the contract or transfer the rights or obligations under the contract. But without the consent of the other party, no party to the contract can transfer the obligations under the contract to anyone else.
(2) In order to transfer the rights or obligations under the contract according to sub-section (1), the following conditions must be fulfilled:
(a) Except as otherwise provided in the contract, the transfer must be in writing,
(b) Transfer to be unconditional,
(c) The transfer of rights or obligations shall not be prohibited by law or contract,
(d) In case of transfer of rights or obligations, the parties should be notified with the deadline.
(3) After accepting the work done by a third party, a party to the contract shall not be entitled to claim later that such work should have been done by the contracting party, unless otherwise provided in the contract.
(4) If two or more persons jointly enter into an agreement with the other party, unless otherwise stipulated in the agreement, any or all of the persons entering into the agreement shall fulfill or cause the obligations under such agreement to be fulfilled.
(5) According to sub-section (4), if a person does not fulfill the obligation, the person who fulfills the obligation can pay the damages or loss proportionately for the non-fulfillment of the obligation from the other person who has entered into a joint agreement.
(6) Even if one of the parties exempts any person of the other party from the obligations falling under his share in the agreement made according to sub-section (4), the remaining person will not be released from the obligations of such agreement.
